What do you actually need for a second baby in the UK?

The same five decisions as the first: sleep in your room, a legal car seat if you drive, nappies, a few sleepsuits that fit, a feeding plan you already have. The difference is inventory. Open the loft before you open a retailer. Replace what failed, expired or never worked. Do not rebuild a registry for the photograph.

What sleep kit can a second baby reuse?

Do you need a double buggy for a second baby?

Only if you will walk both children at once, on the pavements you actually use. Many families use a buggy board, a sling plus a single, or the car. A double is heavy and wide. Try the fold in a shop with the older child in tow. Skip the matching sibling system sold as a personality.

This is a logistics question, not a love question. If the older child walks most trips, a sling for the newborn may cover the gap. What should people gift a second baby?

Consumables, 3–6 month clothes, muslins if you bin-stained the first set, or a voucher. Not another nest, not a duplicate monitor, not a walker. If they ask, send the skip-list. A second baby is not a reason to restart the toiletry tower. Food for the household still beats a gadget.
